Exotic Dancer's Money Will Be Returned Under Judge's Orders

Montville woman was assisting dancer with starting a new business when more than $1 million was seized by state troopers during traffic stop.

A woman who had saved $1 million as an exotic dancer to open her own New Jersey nightclub, only to have the money seized by a state trooper during a traffic stop, will have her money returned upon a judge's orders, according to ABC News.

The 33-year-old woman, Tara Mishra, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., had been saving the money since she was 18 and was driving in Nebraska with Marina Dheri, of Montville, when she was stopped for speeding, ABC News reported. Officers seized the money, thinking it was drug-related.

But the federal judge ordered the money returned, claiming law enforcement officials did not find a substantial connection between the money and drugs.
