The Barn Theatre in Montville, New Jersey kicks off its 86th Season by holding open auditions on July 7 & 8, 2013 for its upcoming production of "Veronica's Room", a drama by Ira Levin with direction by Omar Kozarsky.
AUDITION DATES: Sunday July 7, 2013 at 6pm and Monday July 8, 2013 at 7pm.
CALLBACKS (By Invitation Only): Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 7pm
PERFORMANCE DATES: September 7, 2013 thru Saturday September 28, 2013 (Fridays, Saturday and Sundays)
SHOW DESCRIPTION:
College students Susan and Larry are invited to an New England mansion by its caretakers. Susan is encouraged to impersonate Veronica, a long dead daughter of the family, in an effort to provide comfort to Veronica's only surviving sister. Once dressed in Veronica's clothes, Susan finds herself trapped within the role.
CAST REQUIREMENTS:
(2 Men, 2 Women)
Woman (mid 50s to mid 60s)
Man (mid 50s to mid 60s)
Young Woman (early 20s)
Young Man (early to late 20s)
For those auditioning for Woman and Man, the ability to speak in an Irish brogue is helpful.
Actors are asked to arrive within the first hour and a half of the audition start time; scripts will be provided. All roles are available. Casting is open, and newcomers are especially welcomed.
