Housewives' Teresa and Joe Giudice Speak Out on Indictments on Bravo

For the first time since being indicted on 39 counts including fraud, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Teresa and Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice sat down to talk about their situation on cable television with Andy Cohen, host of Bravo's "Watch What Happens," the Star-Ledger reported.

According to the Ledger, the reality television couple, who held hands throughout the interview, said little. Teresa Giudice said she was trying to be strong for her four daughters. Her husband said even less. This likely was due to attorney orders for them to remain silent regarding specifics of the case and the criminal allegations. 

The Giudices did deny the charges, but added that they don't understand some of the things they are accused of doing. Teresa Giudice also insisted that, despite their filing for bankruptcy, her family did not live beyond its means. And although fellow RHONJ pair Melissa and Joe Gorga were quoted saying they would be happy to step in to help with the Giudice girls should their parents be sent to the pokey, the indicted couple does not seem so certain. Teresa Giudice told Cohen that she had no idea how the situation would be handled; Joe Giudice said the Gorgas won't be their girls' caretakers because of the nasty things they have said on-air about Teresa, who is Joe Gorga's sister.

Joe Giudice also said he doesn't believe the authorities would be targeting himself and his wife save for their involvement with the show.
