I agree. I received a $10 "gift coupon", but even $25.00 is too much. You can get $10.00 haircuts in Lincoln Park which aren't too bad. When I'm in NYC I go to the Astor barbershop for a great $16.00 haircut (and no waiting).

ReplyI have filed an appeal. I filed one in 2010 and they lowered my taxes. Two years later
they increased the tax almost to the same level as before my first appeal. Anyway
I'm appealing the tax and will argue the assessment in court. -

ReplyYou have to examine the assessor's criteria. In most cases it's based on comps. Power lines would definitely NOT result in an increase in a home's value. I would think the opposite is true. You have to wonder about who was doing the assessment.

ReplyIf I get the opportunity I will ask him why my Montville property tax went up 12% when
there was a so called law passed capping increase at 2%. He took credit for that. -

Cheap, greedy b_tards. They already mark up drinks several hundred percent, and still not satisfied. They also have to substitute cheap stuff to further increase their profits. I hope they get huge fines and in TGIF's case, if it's a conspiracy, they should forfeit their liquer licenses.
