Disbarment Possible for Ex-Montville Judge

State judicial committee hearings continue as lawyers will decide whether Seth Davenport violated ethics code.

Former Montville Municipal Judge Seth Davenport told a state judicial committee that he may have carelessly signed a certification stating he did not represent a former mayor 10 years ago in legal matters, a violation of New Jersey Court rules, although court documents confirm he did. According to nj.com, Davenport appeared before the New Jersey Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct Wednesday and said that he had represented former mayor John Rosellini prior to becoming a judge, but did not bill him after that time.
