Places to Go on Your Staycation

With spring recess coming to a school near you, you may be looking for somewhere to go close to home.

The warm weather is supposed to be coming soon–at least that's what the calendar indicates. Spring recess is coming, and the kids are going to be home. The economy still isn't what it used to be, and gas prices are continuing to rise. Maybe it's time to relax and enjoy yourself by taking a staycation. This week, Patch Picks gives you some options nearby if you are taking some time off, but not getting in a plane or driving a long distance. As always, we encourage those with other ideas they'd like to share with their neighbors to let them know in the comments section below. Patch Picks—Places to Go on Your Staycation.

Get in Some Relaxation at These Spas

After another snow storm, you could probably use the rest.

There's probably a good chance you need to relax right about now. It's late March and we had to deal with yet another snow storm, despite this being the first week of spring. Maybe the first full week of the season will be better. Either way, you probably need a break from that shoveling. So, Patch Picks put together a list of some great spas you can head to for relaxation and pampering. And remember, if you know of a fantastic spot that you don't see on this list but think your neighbors may want to know about it, make sure to tell them in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Thanks for the recommendation, Ron. I know a lot of people like to go into Morristown, so it's nice to know there are closer (hopefully less crowded) options.   more ›

Too Early to Think of Summer? Never!

Here's a list of the summer camps you may want to check out.

Yes, we know–it's not even spring. But in some cases, if summer camp is on the list of things you know your children are going to want to do after school gets out, you'll need to start thinking about it now so you can make the sign-up cutoffs. So, to get your brain thinking about what options you may want to pursue for your family, Patch Picks put together this list. And don't worry: as always, if you don't see something you believe your neighbors would be interested in, you can make sure they can see it by letting us know in the comments box at the bottom of the article.
