Pine Brook Boy's Illness Identified After 11 Years
Family learns more about son's disease through genome contest at Boston Children's Hospital.
After 11 years, the family of Adam Foye finally has some answers about the muscular disease affecting the 11-year-old. Time Magazine wrote about Foye and his parents, Sarah Foye and Patrick Foye, last week. According to Time, researchers, who participated in a genome and exome identification contest through Boston Children's Hospital, have determined that changes in the gene titin have caused muscle weakness in Foye that leaves him tired after typically non-exhausting activities.
