Mustangs Football to Play Mendham, Sparta and More This Season

A look at the varsity football schedule for the 2012-13 season.

The Montville Township High School Mustangs kicked off the varsity football season last week with a win against Chatham, 14-13, according to Chatham Patch. Chatham Patch reported Montville senior Parker Meytrott ran 20 times for 81 yards, scoring two touchdowns and leading the team to victory. There's much more football ahead this season. Hanson, O'Lear Each Net 5 in Montville Rout

Mustangs score 12 in second half against Wayne Valley.

The Montville High School boys lacrosse team broke into The Star Ledger Top 20 last week, taking the 20th spot. After dropping a game to Sparta, the Mustangs got back to winning with a blow out over Wayne Valley Tuesday afternoon, 17-3. For a video of the team, click here. IN SHORT Montville came out slow but exploded after the half, outscoring Wayne Valley 12-2. The Mustangs scored repeatedly on quick transition goals and from the faceoffs, putting in 10 goals in the third period.
