Bail for the so-called dapper bandit, the Warren Township man accused of robbing several Morris County banks, will remain at $500,000, a state Superior Court judge ruled Monday afternoon. Judge Robert Gilson presided over a bail review hearing at Morris County Courthouse for David G. Carroccia, 28, who is charged with four counts of robbery in connection with bank robberies this summer in Parsippany, Lincoln Park and Mount Olive, plus an attempted robbery at a Kinnelon bank, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi. His well-dressed appearance and getaway car without hubcaps led authorities to the Warren Township man accused of robbing several Morris County banks and possibly one in South Jersey, according to an arrest affidavit. David G. Carroccia, 28, will have a bail review hearing Monday in State Superior Court in Morristown. Carroccia is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. A Warren man has been arrested for a series of four bank robberies and one attempted robbery that took place at Morris County banks over the span of a little more than one month. David G. Carroccia, 28, of Warren, robbed banks in Parsippany, Lincoln Park, Mount Olive, and attempted to rob a Kinnelon bank, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi. Carroccia was arrested while driving a vehicle in his hometown on Thursday at about 2 p.m., Bianchi said. Bianchi said that Carroccia is also a suspect in additional bank robberies that are separate from the ones he is currently charged with. The Morris County CrimeStoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest or indictment of a man who allegedly robbed two Morris County banks recently. The person in question allegedly robbed a PNC Bank at the Village Green Shopping Center in Budd Lake on July 30, and was dressed in a suit and tie. A similarly well-dressed man allegedly robbed an Indus American Bank inside a Pathmark on Route 46 in Parsippany on July 20. Authorities describe the man who hit the PNC Bank as a white male in his early 20s, about 6-foot-2 with a slender build.
