"When you grow up you'll play with diesel instead of gas!" That's a phrase I have seen tossed around a lot on online car discussion boards. It appears those who drive diesel-fueled vehicles are sold on the concept.  Going diesel has pros and cons for drivers: In the negative column, diesel fuel is more expensive than conventional gasoline. On the whole, it has less horsepower, meaning that diesel cars aren't quite as speedy in the top end. Cars that use diesel fuel often are noisier than those running regular petrol, though that is improving as modern diesel engines are becoming more refined and quiet. Autism Speaks to Benefit From Marathon Cycle Ride at Montville Studio

Proceeds of classes will benefit organization.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Revolution Indoor Cycling Studio, in Pine Brook, will be hosting a fundraising cycling marathon on April 21. During the marathon, classes will cost $20 each with all proceeds benefitting Autism Speaks and three classes hosted: noon to 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cyclists of all fitness levels are invited to participate including adults and teenagers. Pre-registration can be completed on Revolution's website.

What Business Would You Like to See in Montville?

The township has lots of small businesses, but we want to know what you think it's missing.

Ice cream shops, hair salons, delis and no shortage of Italian restaurants. Montville seems to have it all when it comes to local business. But there are a few kinds of businesses the township does not seem to have and so we figured we'd ask you what you think Montville needs the most, especially as one parcel of land is being developed at Towaco Crossing and the township still hopes to attract a developer at the G.I. Auto Yard in Pine Brook. This week's 5 Cars is all about making your ride planet-friendly. Perhaps you are in the market for a new or used vehicle that can save you money at the pump. And perhaps you also have a commitment to doing as little damage to the environment as possible. One suggestion: Get a hybrid vehicle.
