Montville High School Freshman Sings For Sandy Victims

Sydney Kayne, 14, will participate in a benefit concert for Build 1,000 Homes, which is helping those displaced by the storm.

Staten Island will be alight with the ethereal stylings of young musician and Montville High School freshman Sydney Kayne in an effort to raise money for the displaced victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Build 1,000 Homes is hosting a fundraiser Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. for the victims of Sandy who lost their homes in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The fundraiser will take place at New Dorp High School on Staten Island located at 465 Dorp Lane and feature live performances from musicians and other artists.

Kayne, 14, has her own YouTube channel with her latest songs and will also be participating in the Folk Project in Morristown Friday where she will open for Rich Dean and the Rainmakers.
