Girl Scouts Achieve Gold Awards

Troop 1868 honored at Gold Award ceremony.

Sunday evening May 6 was a recognition ceremony of all the very talented Girl Scouts of Troop 1868, now seniors in

All ten are very active in Girl Scouting, with many of the members of Troop there 13 years. Seven members completed special projects to receive the Gold Award. On tables in the room, each had an interesting display of their project. The audience also had opportunity to watch a video presentation of their project and their reasons for selecting them.

Girl Scout Leaders Katherine Haft, Caren Bianco and Holly Dickert spoke and made presentations, as well as advisor Kathy Fisher. Montville Township Deputy Mayor Don Kostka and Committeewoman Deb Nielson read and presented the certificates to each recipient.

Montville residents, parents and students appreciate the accomplishments of these Scouts, all role models, benefitting from the strong support of their parents and their leaders and advisors, encouraging more to follow their lead.
