'Concerts in the Park' Coming to Amphitheater

A patriotic concert band, a jazz quintet, a fun show about recycling and a Jimmy Buffett tribute band are among the acts scheduled to play the Montville Community Park Amphitheater.

A patriotic concert band, a jazz quintet, a fun show about recycling and a Jimmy Buffett tribute band are among the acts scheduled to play the Montville Community Park Amphitheater as part of Concerts in the Park 2013.

The series of six outdoor concerts, all starting at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, opens with patriotic music by the Jacksonville Chapel Concert Band on Thursday, July 11. (The originally scheduled first show in June was postponed by rain.)

Attendees can bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfortable seating. The park area has been spray for mosquitoes, "but come prepared," an announcement advises. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on township property.

  • Thurs., July 11 @ 7pm – Jacksonville Chapel Concert Band – Patriotic Music
  • Thurs., July 18 @ 7pm – Cornucopia Jazz Quintet
  • Thurs., July 25 @ 7pm – Polka Dot “King of Green” Recycling Show – Family Fun
  • Thurs., Aug 1 @ 7pm – FLIPSIDE – Popular Music
  • Thurs., Aug 8 @ 7pm – FULL CIRCLE – Popular Music
  • Thurs., Aug 22 @ 7pm – PARROTBEACH – Jimmy Buffet Tribute
