In 2007, Julianne Kowalski was the first Mustang to score 1,000 points. This past Saturday, another joined the 1,000-point club.

Senior girls basketball player Katie O'Reilly scored her 1,000th point at Saturday's 61-37 win over Kinnelon, said Paul Pignatello, MTHS athletic director.

"She's just the second player in the history of the girls basketball program to accomplish the feat," said Pignatello. "The first, Julianne Kowalski reached the milestone in 2007 and was on-hand to witness the feat."

O'Reilly is currently averaging 16.8 points a game for the 8-4 Mustangs.

Way to go, Katie!! Major accomplishment. (But Kim, this is an awful headline.)
