Mustangs Convert Power Play to Advance

Montville to face Tenafly in quarterfinals on Sunday after beating Indian Hills.

The ice hockey team beat Indian Hills 5-3 on Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals in the state tournament.

Montville's Nick Arlotta and Taylor Waelz scored on a power play in the third period to take the lead, and Ryan O’Lear completed a hat trick with seconds left to secure Montville's second round win in the state tournament, according to the Varsity Aces blog on NorthJersey.com.

The Mustangs face Tenafly in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Sunday at MacKay Ice Arena in Englewood.
