Montville to Dedicate Field in Pre-Game Ceremony

The ceremony will start at 6:30 p.m. and the game follows at 7 p.m. Friday

If you're around town this Friday, head out to the turf field ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Before the Montville High football game against High Point, the administration will conduct the field dedication ceremony. Festivities are set to start at 6:30 with the game to follow at 7 p.m, according to the school district.

"The Montville Township Board of Education and Administration will be formally celebrating the opening of the new turf field at Montville Township High School," said Superintendent Paul Fried. "This brand new multi-purpose field brings our students and community a state of the art playing facility that will allow them to engage safely in physical education classes, marching band competitions, and athletic contests.  In all weather conditions our turf field will stand up to constant use by our students and teams."

He added that the Board is looking forward to "publicly showing its appreciation to our generous donors, as well as thanking the many other groups and individuals, who worked so hard to make our wonderful field a reality."
