The Mustangs are going strong with several impressive wins on the basketball court.
For the boys, they defeated Morris Knolls on their home turf 55-44 Wednesday night and the girls traveled to Morris Knolls HS and came back with a victory 45-39, according to NJ.com
Their next games are against Sparta HS at 7 p.m. on Friday, away for the boys and at home for the girls.
Earlier this week, the boys faced Parsippany Hills at home and won 60-47 and “Jacob Kaplan, Jesse Warech, and Erik Werheim all scored in double-figures (Monday) in the boys basketball 13 point win over Par. Hills,” said MustangsMTHS.
Unfortunately, the girls lost on the road against the Vikings on Monday, but it was a close game, 44-41.
Last week, however, “Katie and Kelly O'Reilly combined for 38 points (Jan. 7) to lead the girls basketball team to a win over Pope John,” according to MustangsMTHS, adding that over the winter break, “bowling and boys basketball both won their holiday tournaments.”
Among other good news, the Mustang Association donated new chairs for the gym.
