State's Only Female Coach Guides Montville to Unbeaten Start

Meg Hishmeh has led the Mustangs' resurgent 11-0-1 start to the year.

It’s not common to have a female coach for a varsity high school boys ice hockey team, but many are supporting Montville coach Meg Hishmeh, especially after turning the team around this season and maintaining an undefeated record, according to the Daily Record.

This winter, Hishmeh, a Kinnelon resident, is the only woman head coach of a boys ice hockey team in the state, according to the Daily Record.

The team's record is 11-0-1 after wiping out Morris Hills 13-0 at Mennen Arena on Saturday night and next the Mustangs face Whippany Park (8-3-1) Wednesday at 7:45 p.m, according to NJ.com
