William Mason Celebrates Dr. Seuss

Students read in hallways, wear Seuss hats.

recently participated in the “Salute to Seuss,” a day of activities in honor of the birthday of the beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. Reading Specialist Maria Millan and Media Specialist Wanda Vogel coordinated the day of activities. 

Activities throughout the day included:

- Seussical assembly presentation

- An assembly with grades K-2 special readers sharing their favorite books and grades 3-5 special readers sharing original writing.

- D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) time where the entire student body sat in the hallways outside of their classrooms to read their favorite books.

- Computer and craft projects where grades K-2 created Dr. Seuss hats and grades 3-5 created pictures of Cat in the Hat in the Computer Lab.
