Spring Break Cut Short, Schools in Session on Presidents Day

Montville has used seven snow days so far, three more than what was allotted in the district calendar.

Montville Schools will be in session on Presidents Day and spring break will be a couple of days shorter, the district announced Friday.

One of North Jersey's snowiest winters in years has forced Montville schools to close seven times, including twice this week when the nor'easter caused snow days on Thursday and Friday.

Only four snow days were allotted in the district's calendar so school will be in session on Monday, Feb. 17 as well as Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15. The April dates will reduce the district's spring break by two days.

MEDLC will also hold regular sessions on those three dates.
