Schools are closed Monday—Halloween—as a result of a snow storm on Saturday, according to a message on the district website.
The storm downed trees, branches and wires. Thousands of Montville Township residents didn't have power early Monday and more than a dozen roads were closed.
For residents without heat, the town opened a warming shelter in the Youth Center at Community Park. It's open 24 hours a day.
