Suspected Bank Robbers Captured, Public Outcry Against PSEG, and A Father Seeking Answers: The Week in Review

News from August 16 to August 22.

In case you missed anything, here is a rundown of some of the stories reported by Montville Patch last week between Aug. 16 and Aug. 22.

Two individuals suspected in connection to the Aug. 2 bank robbery in Pine Brook, as well as several other incidents in the area, were apprehended by authorities on Aug. 17 following a robbery in Hanover Township. 

The National Park Service held a public hearing for its alternative plans to PSE&G's proposed Susquehanna-Roseland power line upgrade, several of which would direct the project out of Montville, on Aug. 19 in Lafayette. While there was some support for the power company's proposed project, many area residents voiced opposition to the plans, which are currently on hold with PSE&G seeks permits from the park service.

According to representatives from A.J. Willner Auctions, the public auction of the household assets belonging to Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Teresa Giudice and her family from its original Aug. 22 date to Oct. 3.

In a joint effort with the Fourth of July committee to address a scheduling issue, the Montville board of education voted to move the date of 2011 high school graduation back one day from June 23 to June 22. The board is able to do this by removing one of the district's three snow days.

State Senators Lautenberg and Menendez held a conference on the one-year anniversary of the release of the Lockerbie bomber, whose attack on a passenger plane in 1988 took the lives of over 250 people, including Montville resident John Patrick Flynn.
