Montville High School Ranked No. 39 in State

High school moves up eight slots in two years.

was ranked the 39th best high school in the state by NJ Monthly magazine.

Two years ago, when the rankings were last released by the publication, Montville came in at 47 out of 328 schools in the state.

NJ Monthly uses information from the state Department of Education to develop its rankings, which only take into account public schools in the state. Student performance and student outcomes were the most heavily weighted to determine the rankings, followed by school environment.

New Providence High School, in Union County, was ranked No. 1. Kinnelon High School was ranked No. 5. Following Kinnelon at No. 6 was Madison High School and Mountain Lakes High School was ranked at No. 7. Wayne Hills was ranked at No. 35.
