Montville Schools had early dismissal on Tuesday and will start school on a two-hour delay on Wednesday due to the weather. M.E.D.L.C will also have a delayed opening. It will open at 9 a.m. at all schools.

Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency for New Jersey. The National Weather Service announced a winter storm warning until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

"Significant widespread snowfall will taper off overnight from west to east as bitterly cold air settles in," said the NWS for the Montville Township area. There will be snow accumulations of 8 - 12 inches.

Northerly winds are 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and temperatures are falling into the single digits overnight with a wind chill  as low as 15 degrees below zero.
