Montville Boys Hoops Looks for Improved Year

Team graduated several seniors, but is confident in new faces.

It’s high school hoops season, and the boysbasketball team is ready to begin the season with their sights set on making the NJSIAA North 1, Group III State Sectional Tournament.

The team plays Vernon Township High School away at 7 p.m. Friday.

OVERVIEW
The Mustangs lose a majority of last year’s squad to graduation, meaning several new faces will have to step up. Despite a lack of varsity experience, team chemistry and off-season trainings could pay huge dividends for Montville. According to head coach Billy Medina, who is in his second year with the team, the players “learned a lot from last year’s experience.”
