Two re-elected Montville Township Board of Education members were sworn in during the board's reorganization meeting Monday.
Dr. Karen Cortellino and Charles Grau took the Oath of Office before joining their colleagues on the dais at the Montville Township Municipal Building to select a board president and vice president. Cortellino was unanimously selected to continue serving as president and Dr. Matthew Kayne was unanimously selected to continue serving as vice president.
"It's an honor and a privilege," Kayne said after being congratulated.
Cortellino also expressed gratitude.
"I just want to thank my fellow board members for your confidence, your support and your friendship," she said.
Grau said he looks forward to another term working with the board.
Jon Alin was also re-elected to another term on the board in November, but resigned in December as his family planned to relocate to Florida. Business Administrator Jim Tevis said the public is still looking to fill the open board seat and that he will be taking applications from those interested until Friday at his office at 86 River Road.
