Latest Snow Day Further Cuts Montville Spring Break
After making up one day on Presidents Day, Montville schools will be open on April 14, 15 and 16.
Winter's latest storm caused Montville Schools on Tuesday to use its eighth snow day—third in the past week alone—and will further reduce the district's spring break.
With only four allotted snow days for the year, Montville schools made up one of the missed days on Monday—Presidents Day—and had planned to use Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15 as two other make-up days.
Tuesday's storm will now force the district to open for a third day—Wednesday, April 16—during spring break. Schools are still scheduled to be closed for the remainder of that week on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18.
