Hilldale Principal to Retire After 45 Years

Marianne Dispenziere to leave district at the end of the year.

After 45 years of serving as an educator in the Montville Township Public Schools district, Hilldale Elementary School's principal, Marianne Dispenziere, will retire at the end of the year.

The board of education accepted her retirement, set for June 30, with regret, at a meeting earlier this month. Board members acknowledged Dispenziere's commitment to the Montville community, as she has been an active volunteer, and particularly her long term of service to the school district.

"That's just an amazing accomplishment," Board Member Jackie Ritschel said.

Dispenziere did not wish to comment on her retirement, but board members said she certainly will be missed.

Ms. D has not been Hilldale's principal for 45 years! Please check you facts! Doesn't it seem odd to you that someone would come in as principal and serve for 45 years???

Learn how to read! Open your mind! 45 years as an educator! May-be she started as a teacher???

Maybe You should read the article more closely, Louise! It says she was an educator for 45 years not a principal! You need to relax!

The article was clearly updated after my comment. I can read - very well, actually.

No principal in the district can EVER equal Marianne Dispenziere's dedication to Montville Township - she has been active in many community services, even though she was never a resident - She is held in high esteem by parents, students, and fellow educators. Terry Cavanaugh

Dear Marianne, I have always considered you a dear friend and this will continue. While I workede in the district for 11 1/2 years (in both the high school and board office) you were always a special friend to me and it continued when my grandchildren attended Hilldale (Matthew now in Middle school and David still in Hilldale). With the heartbreak of the loss of a child, you were always concerned and so compassionate to me. I will never forget this and will miss seeing you at HIlldale. My family and I wish you only the very best in your retirement. You have always been and are a special and dear person. I loved working with you in the district and having you in the later years as a dear friend. God bless you and enjoy your retirment. You truly deserve the best. Rose Ann Bettio and family

I love Mrs. D, she opened up the doors of Hilldale to let me give a presentation on the game of rugby to the kids back in 2000 and 2001. All these years later we still have the coolest co-ed game in town! She was also always a big supporter of The Michelle Sullivan basketball game year in and year out. Thanks again!
