District: We'll Do All We Can to Aid Community

"We will do everything in our power" to support students and their families who are affected by charges, Superintendent Dr. Paul Fried said.

Montville schools Superintendent Dr. Paul Fried said during Tuesday's Board of Education meeting the school district "will do everything in our power" to support students and families who are affected by the news that a former first grade teacher and high school track coach was arrested Monday on for allegedly abusing a girl who was in his class in 2005.

He said the guidance department is available and the district would look to arrange outside counseling services as well.

In a letter to parents on Monday, Fried said Director of Guidance Fran Schlenoff is available and can be reached at Montville Township High School at 973-331-7100 ext. 2646.
