Chinese Dancers Inspire William Mason Students

Dance China NY presents Peking Opera folk numbers to Montville school.

William Mason School students recently got a chance to experience a special performance by Dance China NY.

"Performing in traditional Chinese costumes, Dance China NY introduces students to Chinese culture through language lessons, historical background, on-stage demonstrations and audience interaction," according to Betsy Steckelman, media liaison for the William Mason School Home and School Association.

Dance China NY is a resident dance company of the New York Chinese Cultural Center and made up of dancers from America and China. Dancers perform traditional folk numbers from Peking Opera as well as acrobatic numbers.
