Pio Costa Continues Campaigning for Term Limits

Tony Pio Costa believes term limits are good for all levels of government.

"[They] allow new people to come into the system and express new ideas," he said.

Pio Costa, a Towaco resident who is running for state Assembly in District 26 against in the June 5 primary, made a few brief comments prior to a hosted by the Montville Republican Club at the Senior House Thursday.

Pio Costa told the audience that he believes America's Founding Fathers would have wanted term limits. He also said he finds the amount of money some state employees collect in pensions, as well as some high salaries of those who serve the state, "repulsive" and would take a closer look at that if elected.

"The Assembly should lower its own salary and pave the way," he said.
