As many rang in the new year with resolutions, one Montville resident celebrated it with her 100th birthday.
Zelda Shinderman has been a resident of The Chelsea at
Montville since 2009 and she celebrated her 100th birthday with friends and
family on December 31.
Montville Mayor Tim Braden and Deputy Mayor Don Kostka presented Shinderman with a proclamation declaring Zelda Shinderman Day.
New Jersey lifelong resident Shinderman was born in Newark and
also lived in Roselle and Linden. She spent many years working in her husband’s
liquor store in Linden, according to the township.
She celebrated her birthday with cake, live entertainment and birthday wishes from her Chelsea friends, her grandson Drew Shinderman and his wife, Kelly.
