Assemblyman Jay Webber and Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce held Mobile Office Hours in Montville on Wednesday evening and were joined by many residents who braved cold weather to meet with the state legislators. The legislators’ staff also was present to respond to constituent requests as well.

Welcomed warmly by Mayor Tim Braden, Deputy Mayor Don Kostka, and Committeewoman Deborah Nielson, the Assembly members heard from Montville citizens about a host of policies — association fees, property taxes, budget priorities, gun legislation, and more.

“We thank the Montville residents who joined us, shared their experiences, and emphasized the policies that are important to them and their community,” said Assemblyman Webber. “Hearing directly and personally from the residents helps us better represent their interests, and our mobile office hours are just another way we can do more of that.”

“I wish to thank Mayor Tim Braden, Deputy Mayor Don Kostka, Committeewoman Deborah Nielson and the residents of Montville for their support of our Mobile Office Hours," Assemblywoman DeCroce said. "In addition, I would like to stress the importance of meeting with the residents of the community to hear their concerns, on a local level, of the issues they face. These discussions are a valuable tool in our decisionmaking in Trenton for what is in the best interest for the people in our district.”

During Mobile Office Hours, citizens can conveniently walk in to meet personally with their State Legislators, share their ideas about state policies, apply to become Notaries Public and seek help with state agencies.

Although their Assembly District Office in Parsippany is open to residents every weekday during normal business hours, Assemblyman Webber and Assemblywoman DeCroce are bringing Mobile Office Hours to municipalities in the District as part of their constant traveling throughout the 26th District to meet with constituents and attend local events.

The Assembly Members now have held Mobile Office Hours in Jefferson, North Caldwell, Fairfield, Verona, West Caldwell, Kinnelon, West Milford, and Montville.

The next Mobile Office Hours will be in Butler on March 6.
