I-287, Changebridge, More Rt. 46 Open

Should make getting around easier, but some roads still closed.

Changebridge Road between Stiles and Woodmont road and northbound Route 287 are now fully open, as are more lanes of Route 46, officials said.

The Department of Transportation has cleared construction on Route 287 due to a partial collapse of the road near exit 44.

The shoulder collapsed due to erosion from the surging Rockaway River after Hurricane Irene and officials were concerned about the stability of the road. The road closed on Monday. One lane re-opened Wednesday. The state announced the right and center lanes of the highway were open around 4 a.m. Thursday.
