Montville submitted a list of affected properties.

The deadline to submit an interest survey to the Montville Department of Administration has been moved up to Sept. 30. It previously was Oct. 5. A new survey is on the township website.

Montville Township has filed with the state a list of properties in town that were affected by flooding from Hurricane Irene so the homes can be considered for federal grants to have the houses elevated or acquired as open space, according to a notice on the township website.

The state requested from Montville by Sunday a list of people who are interested in having their houses elevated or purchased, and Montville provided a list of all those who were affected to ensure all could be considered for grants if they are interested.

"In an effort to protect your interests and as a result of the very tight time frame established by the State, the Township has submitted a list of properties affected by flooding," the township said in a notice on its website. "The inclusion of your property on this list is in no way binding and does not compel you to participate in any eligible activities."
