Expect Delays Through Friday on Rt. 202

County milling and paving project underway.

The latest Morris County milling and paving project on Route 202 in Montville began causing delays on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

The project, which is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and which will include both day and night work, has reduced Route 202 to a one-lane road between the public safety building and Bella plaza. The work is scheduled to last until Friday, Aug. 6.

As a result of the construction, traffic lights at the intersection of Changebridge Road and Route 202 have been set to flashing yellow. Members of the Montville police department are on the scene directing traffic. Delays on Aug. 2 saw cars backed up from the Route 287 onramp eastbound on Route 202, while cars were backed up  well past Bella plaza westbound.
