Casha Seeks 26th District Assembly Seat

Formal announcement to be made at a later date.

A partner with a Montville law firm has announced his candidacy for the 26th Legislative District seat vacated by Minority Leader Alex DeCroce, who died earlier this week.

In a press release announcing his candidacy, Lawrence “Larry” Casha, former Kinnelon Council president, said a formal announcement will be made at a later date and offerered condolences to the DeCroce family.

"Betty Lou and their family need time to be alone to deal with their great loss," he said. "I and my wife Debra mourn with them and offer my prayers."

Casha also added, "While Alex’s shoes will never be filled, his Assembly seat must be. Alex was a friend and a mentor. He honored us with his service, fighting for all of New Jersey with dignity and passion. I am better for knowing him."

Casha founded the law firm , which has its office on Horseneck Road in Montville. According to his bio on the firm website, he has volunteered his legal services to the and fire departments. He and his wife at . He founded the law firm in 1980.
