Currently mayor, Sandham is running for his third consecutive three-year term on the Township Committee. He has lived in town since 1997. Married for 32 years. Three children, ages 27, 25, 16.

Education: Bachelor's in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Previous elected office sought or held: Served on the Board of Education from 2002 to 2003. Began serving on Township Committee in 2006.

Community involvement: Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis

Biggest issues facing Township Committee: Mitigating flooding. Always fighting to keep taxes, water and sewer rates at a minimum. Streamlining the permit process for residents and businesses.

He said his financial background is valuable for the town, and the town has lowered its debt by 20 percent over the past five years, and plans to lower it another 20 percent over the next five years, he said.
