A pair of Montville teenagers were taken into custody by Parsippany-Troy Hills police Sunday after Ptl. Earl Kinsey said they were found with various weapons and were selling white pills in Volunteers Park.
The two 15-year-olds, both of Montville, were taken into custody at the Foodtown in North Beverwyck Road and brought to police headquarters where they were later picked up by their parents, Kinsey said.
Police responded to the park just after 6 p.m. on a report of teenagers selling pills from their mountain bikes. The teens, who Kinsey said matched the description provided in the report, were located at Foodtown and brought in.
The teens were also found with a razor knife, folding knife and stun gun, according to Kinsey. Twenty two small white pills, which were not identified, were found in their possession, Kinsey said.
No formal charges have been filed, Kinsey said.
Correction: An earlier version of this story said the teens were selling pills in the Foodtown parking lot.
