Rt. 46 Traffic Moving After Crash

Fairfield police, West Essex first aid responded to scene.

Traffic was moving by 12:40 p.m. on Route 46 in Fairfield Friday after police and EMS officials responded to an accident in which a woman was injured.

The woman was taken out of her car in a stretcher around 12:30 p.m.

Route 46 was backed up in both directions and into while officers responded. The West Essex First Aid Squad and Atlantic Health paramedics also responded to the scene.
