Route 202 Paving Could Cause 'Major Delays'

Morris County paving work to be done weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Morris County will begin a paving project on two pieces of Route 202 in Montville on Thursday.

The portions of the road from Majorca Road heading west to Washington Court and from Abbott Road heading west to the entrance and exit ramps for I-287 North will be paved on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Dec. 11.

"The work is expected to last until Dec. 11 but could take longer, depending on the weather," an announcement on the township website said. "While it is anticipated that the road will remain open with alternating traffic utilizing a single lane, there may be short periods when it will be necessary to close the road completely."
