Road-Crossing Turkey is 'Ongoing Issue,' Police Say

Most recently, the turkey crossed the road at the intersection of Route 202 and Asa Street.

Why did the turkey cross the road?

Earlier this month, Montville police responded to the intersection of Route 202 and Asa Street where a large turkey was blocking traffic while crossing the road.

It occurred on Dec. 11, but it's not the first time that this large bird has caused trouble.

"It's been an ongoing issue," said Montville Lt. Andrew Caggiano. "It's been coming out of the woods on 202, not regularly, but more often than not."
