'Real Housewives' Star Accused of Bad Sandy Repairs in Keansburg

Joe Giudice says he 'treated these people like gold.'

By Kaitlyn Anness

On the day Joe Giudice and his "Real Housewives" wife Teresa Giudice faced dozens of fraud charges, a Keansburg woman spoke out about her experience with the New Jersey construction man.

Giudice, who owns Modern Era Building construction and remodeling services, is being accused of taking Christina Abdou's insurance money after Sandy and leaving shoddy work behind, according to News 12.

Abdou claims she contacted Giudice through information on his flier and that the reality star left a mess behind, including removing a load-bearing wall.

Giudice told News 12 he "treated these people like gold."

In a separate case, the reality couple was indicted Tuesday on 39 counts by a federal grand jury. Joe Giudice was additionally charged with failure to file tax returns for income received between 2004 and 2008, during which time he allegedly earned approximately $1 million.
