Police Pursuit, Marijuana Possession and Shoplifting

Police Blotter: August 21 to 28

Montville police arrested three Bronx, N.Y. residents on August 21 on charges of receiving stolen property and conspiracy to receive stolen property.

Traffic patrol responded to a car chase on Route 46 in Pine Brook that ended in the parking lot of D & D Liquors in Pine Brook. Three women, sisters Shaneeta and Shana Moore and Tifanny Ouedrago, were being perused by Willowbrook Mall security for shoplifting. Fairfield police arrived on the scene and returned numerous items that were thrown from the women's car as they fled west in their jurisdiction in Route 46.

The three women had bail set at $2,500. The Moore sisters were posted bail. Ouedrago was remanded to the Morris County jail.

  • Police investigated an 1991 Cadillac parked on Peace Valley Road in Towaco and arrested Lynsi DeFalco, 19, for possession of marijuana on August 22. Defalco was charged and released.
  • A shoplifting incident, in which a male allegedly left the store with a shopping cart full of clothes, took place on August 21.  Police report that woman may have distracted a store security guard, allowing the man to get away. The incident is under investigation.
