Update: Route 46 Hit-And Run Victim Identified

UPDATE: According to the Daily Record, authorites are reporting that the man killed in a hit-and-run while crossing Route 46 in Montville on August 6 is 28-year-old Javier Zet-Sabin.

According to the report, Zet-Sabin was leaving Garam Marsala restaurant, where he worked, and walking to his Pine Brook residence when he was struck by two cars while attempting to cross a poorly-lit section of Route 46. The first car, a black Tahoe SUV, stopped after the accident but the second car left the scene. Zet Sabin was prouncded dead on the scene at 11:29 p.m.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Cagianno says authorities are looking for a white, four-door Nissan or Toyota sedan with a spoiler in connection to the accident. He urges anyone with possible information about the car in question to contact the Montville police department at 973-257-4300.
