Prosecutor Issues Bulletin After France Shooting

Following the recent attacks in Toulouse, France, the Morris County Prosecutor's office has released a security bulletin to provide awareness in the community.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office has issued a Homeland Security Bulletin regarding the recent shooting incidents in Toulouse, France.

On March 19, three children and one teacher were shot and killed at the Ozar Hatorah Jewish School in north-east Toulouse. The perpertrator is connected to two other attacks last week on March 11 and 15, where he killed French soldiers of North African and Caribbean desecent, which possibly suggest the shootings were racially motivated.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi states in the bulletin that he wants to "raise the situational awareness of all members of the Jewish faith and community at large, so that we remember to never lose vigilance as it relates to our homeland security and protection of all citizens."

The Intelligence Community has no active intelligence to suggest that the Jewish community in New Jersey is being targeted, but the prosecutor's office wants to raise awareness of this issue.

Security measures are being taken at synagogues, schools, and places of worship. Bianchi encourages community members to review security protocols and procedures, and introduce new ones where necessary for security around Jewish institutions.
