Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking Into Car Wash

New Jersey State Police arrested 23-year-old who allegedly burglarized Allbrite Car Wash.

The New Jersey State Police arrested a Massachusetts man for allegedly breaking into Allbrite Car Wash last Wednesday, according to the Montville Township Police Department.

Joey Winston, 23, was charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft, said Detective Sergeant Andrew Caggiano.

According to Caggiano, the Allbrite Car Wash was allegedly broken into at approximately 11:30 last Wednesday night. Money was allegedly found to be missing from the car wash office, as well as a Chevrolet Cavalier missing from the parking lot.

Later that night, near Flemington, the New Jersey State Police pulled over and arrested Winston, Caggiano said. The investigation is ongoing, and Winston is currently being held in the Hunterdon County Jail, Caggiano said.

  • Montville police made two DWI arrests last weekend, both between 12:30 and 1 a.m. on Sunday. The first came at approximately 12:30 a.m., when an officer found a white Acura heavily damaged off of Waughaw Road, but was unable to locate any drivers or passengers, said Capt. Ed Rosellini.

    The officer then located the alleged driver, 18-year-old Dylan Patel of Pine Brook, at a friend’s house on Stony Brook Road, after which a sobriety test was administered, Rosellini said. Patel was arrested on charges of underage DWI, DWI with an underage passenger, failure to maintain lanes, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident, Rosellini said.
  • At 12:51 a.m., also on Sunday, a Montville police officer pulled a vehicle over after observing the driver allegedly make an illegal U-turn from Route 46 heading east to Route 46 heading west, according to Rosellini.

    After administering a sobriety test, the driver of the vehicle, David Grace, 49 of Greenfield, Mass., allegedly lost his balance and was transported to police headquarters. He was issued summonses for DWI, careless driving, and making an improper U-turn, Rosellini said.
