Housewives Stars Testify They Were Threatened, Provoked During Ridgewood Brawl

Ridgewood Municipal Court Judge David Pfund ruled counterclaims filed against Johnny Karagiorgis by "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast members should move forward.

Update at 12:10 p.m. Friday

One of the stars of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" alleges a Paramus man threatened to kill her and provoked a large fight between her and several other cast members at a Ridgewood grand opening March 30.

Jacqueline Laurita testified at Johnny Karagiorgis' probable cause hearing Friday morning that the 38-year-old Rutt's Hutt employee was told not to come to the Posche II grand opening, according to a report on northjersey.com. Despite that, Laurita testified, he showed up with a body guard and was ready to fight.

That night, a sink was reportedly thrown and clothes trampled during the brawl. Karagiorgis claims his nose was broken during the scuffle, alleging Joe Gorga, of Montville, and Laurita's husband Chris punched him with open fists. Jacqueline Laurita is alleged to have smashed him in the head with the point of a stiletto.

Jacqueline Laurita testified in front of Judge David Pfund that Karagiorgis "lunged toward" her and yelled "I'll [expletive] kill you," the website reported. Joe Gorga and Chris Laurita testified Karagiorgis threatened them and "lunged toward them" as well.

Pfund found there was enough probable cause to have charges of terroristic threats, assault and harassment filed against Karagiorgis. The case will be reviewed by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Court Administrator Maria Doerr said.

Pfund ruled last week that there was enough probable cause to have charges filed against the Lauritas and Gorga. Their next court appearance is scheduled for April 18.
