FBI Releases Unmasked Photos Of Man Suspected In Connection With Pine Brook Bank Robbery

Unknown man possibly tied to as many as eight incidents.

The FBI has released a picture of the man suspected to be tied to as many as seven bank robbing incidents in the area, including the Pine Brook bank robbery on August 2.

The photo, the first of the suspect without a mask or hat hiding his face, and released by the FBI on its Bandit Tracker Northeast website, was taken during an attempted robbery at the PNC bank in Bloomfield.

The photo is from the alleged robber's attempt Aug. 9, at PNC bank on Broad Street in Bloomfield, according to Brian Travers, the FBI's public affairs officer.

"Based on where the robberies are, one hypothesis is that he may have a job that takes him around the state," said Travers. "Some robberies are more successful than others, but we're focusing on the hat right now because, in some robberies, he may have been wearing the hat underneath the stocking."

Authorities believe this man could be connected to additional incidents in Boonton, Woodbridge, West Orange, Paramus and Whitehouse Station.
