A woman was caught using credit cards she reported stolen earlier this month, Montville police said.

Heather Vanvleet, 26, was charged with falsifying a police report last week after police said video surveillance from several Boonton businesses showed her allegedly using the cards to make purchases.

Police said Vanvleet came to the July 2 to report her Coach purse, which police said was valued at $40, and credit cards stolen. Vanvleet said the purse was stolen during the township's earlier this month, according to police.
